The Sixth Form at The Shared Learning Trust Celebrate A Level Success

The Sixth Form at The Shared Learning Trust is delighted to announce a fantastic set of A Level results at its Stockwood Park and Chalk Hills Academies.

Students at The Chalk Hills Academy, on Leagrave High Street in Luton, achieved the academies’ best ever results, with a significant rise in the number of top grades. There were particular successes in Law, Business, Film and Media Studies.

Principal Louise Lee said: “Our students have worked incredibly hard this year, I’m very proud of them all. We have had a significant increase in the proportion of students achieving A/A* grades.

The vast majority of our students will now start their journey to university, which will be such a life changing opportunity. We are proud to have supported them both pastorally and academically. We wish them every success for the future”.

The same brilliant results apply to students at The Stockwood Park Academy on Rotherham Avenue, where over 93% of students passed their A Levels.

Principal Richard Found said: “I am delighted all our students have done so well.  They have worked tremendously hard, regularly putting in extra hours after school, at weekends and during their holidays. This work ethic will enable them to take their next step, be it University, Apprenticeships or employment.  They therefore thoroughly deserve the success that they have achieved.”

More than 85 percent of students from The Sixth Form at The Shared Learning Trust academies are expected to go on to university, with all others progressing to either further training or employment.

CEO of the Trust, Cathy Barr said “I am really proud of the results across The Sixth Form.  The excellent teaching and tutoring of our dedicated and experienced staff ensures high quality exam results, as well as providing additional opportunities and experiences for our students. All our students have the opportunity to achieve their dreams, contribute to their community and take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities”.

Strive, achieve, believe! Our vision is very much at the heart of everything we do.
