ICT - CNAT

SUBJECT OVERVIEW

The Cambridge Nationals in IT will inspire and equip pupils with the confidence to use skills that are relevant to the IT sector and more widely. It covers the use of IT in the digital world, Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT), Data Manipulation, Human- Computer Interaction (HCI) and Augmented Reality (AR). This course will help pupils develop independence and confidence in using skills that would be relevant to the IT sector. The qualification will also help to develop learning and skills that can be used in other life and work situations, such as designing and creating solutions for a given purpose, problem solving, use of planning techniques and selecting the best tools and techniques for a given scenario. Furthermore pupils will think creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically while developing knowledge of the impacts of digital technologies on individuals, organisations and the wider society.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Grade 4 in GCSE computing or level 2 pass in ICT

NEXT STEPS

Students can study IT at a higher level at university or move into the IT industry.
